About

Hello! My name is Christopher Gilmartin, and if I had to describe myself with one word, it would be curious. My favorite thing to do in life is learn. I can't remember the last time I fell asleep without watching a YouTube essay, reading an article, building a project, and most definitely not doing what I was supposed to be doing.

One of the questions people ask me most is: why should I care? Why should anyone care about measure theory, quantum mechanics, graph theory, or organic chemistry if it never seems to touch their life? Valid question. Everything I make is meant to bridge that gap. I want to answer questions people actually ask. Can a fly push a golf ball into the cup? Which NYC subway transfers are mathematically worse? How long does 405 tonnes of ice last on a city street? Who pays for the World Cup's extra knockout round? Real questions, treated with the apparatus they deserve, so you genuinely learn something along the way.

Ultimately, I want to share my passion for learning with everyone, especially in such a dopamine-addicted era. New papers as often as I can write them; I am aiming for weekly. If you have a question you want answered, request a paper, or just suggest a topic (they are different things).

Peace, CMG
